The digital world the place where beings called Digimon reside. It has existed for as long as most can remember ever since technology was founded. Humans unknowingly created a place filled with what they could only describe as monsters....digital monsters. Just like humans they evolved over time and became more and more intelligent.
They reach out to humans and partnered with them. These Digi-Destined saved the digital world from those who evolved into something corrupt....something that desires not unlike many humans. It was a reoccurring pattern for them. The world in a constant turmoil and the humans there to help steady it.
It eventually reset and everything in that the humans had come to know changed. With it came quiet and nothing was seen of digimon for nearly two-hundred years. Humans knew it was not gone just that those in it no longer sought human companions. For awhile anyway...
With the return of the digimon a group named the Global Digital Congress was formed. Each person sitting at that table from a different country and representing their nations leading digimon specialist. These specialists job was to handle the unsteadiness that came with the reappearance of the digimon.
With the governments trying to control who came and went from the digital world and choosing their own destined humans came problems however. They weren't able to reach the top most evolution bar. Instead they failed at the task they had been created to do. Hundreds of humans were killed in the hands of seven digimon. Seven digimon with seven sins within their blood.
With their failure the digital world fell into darkness. Each sin taking a portion of it for themselves to rule over. Barbamon was not content with his portion however. As a digimon of nothing but greed he plotted to take the rest for himself. With his plot suddenly the seven were split into two groups. Wrath, Envy, and Greed all working together to overthrow the other four. All the while planning to kill one another when all was said and done.
Once more the digimon have come to humans for assistance. This time the government can not control who they pick. This time instead the government has to reach out and grab the chosen human partners and take them under wing. Those humans can try to take back the digital world from under the warring sins hands or they may serve them and be rewarded. Either way many will die.
